Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Red Hat/Windows System Admin to support their client BSNF. The role involves maintaining system standards, assisting in data center operations, and collaborating with IT team members on various projects.
Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of system standards
• Assist in addressing and implementing data center operations projects
• Assists in information and requirements gathering for new equipment and systems
• Assists other IT team members as required
• Carry out special projects as needed
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable of adapting to a dynamic work environment, solving problems
• Deliver creative solutions with a focus on mitigating recurring issues and limiting manual troubleshooting tasks
• Deliver direct and responsive communication to business users in support of issues, planned maintenance activities, and project updates
• Work effectively with process owners and SMEs to understand business requirements related to application implementations or enhancements
• Adhere to project management and change control policies and procedures
• Create and/or update support documentation, ensuring accuracy and appropriate detail where applicable.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4+ years of server Hardware/data center experience
• 2+ years of OS experience Windows/Redhat operating systems
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience with Dell hardware and other hardware manufacturers (e.g. Leveno, Client) is a plus.
• Datacenter experience with: cooling, environmental management, cold/hot aisle, power infrastructure, UPS, distribution boards, PDUs
• Various CompTIA certifications are a plus.
