 The  technical team is in the process of upgrading to new Microsoft 2012R2 servers and as part that effort we are upgrading to Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP 6.4.X), Red Hat JBoss Web Server (JBWS 3.3), JBoss ESB (ESB 4.6) and installing a new instance of the JBoss Operations Network (JON 3.3).

Objective
The objective of this requisition is to procure the services of a Network and System Consultant who can work with OR-Kids technical staff to review and finalize the new system infrastructure. The Consultant will provide technical direction for infrastructure architecture and configuration tasks including review of the future state architecture for correctness and adherence to the design concepts ensuring a successful migration to the new infrastructure. The Consultant should be proficient in use and development of JBoss systems in a Microsoft Windows environment. This work requires a high degree of system specific knowledge and a background in the technologies being incorporated into new architecture.

Qualifications



Scope
The scope of this effort includes services necessary to provide expertise and support for the final system integration phase before release and tuning of the system during the initial release phase. This contract will focus on production systems. Other systems such as integration, QA, UAT and performance will only be reviewed where applicable to the final production system. This Contract is expected to be an onsite engagement. The first phase of the engagement is a detailed System Assessment of the target system, the second will be a tuning engagement to support the OR-Kids staff as the system is being released. This engagement is intended to:

1. Verify  installation of EAP, EWS and ESB servers in the production environments. 
2. Provide recommendations for system tuning and best practices for the continued support and maintenance of the infrastructure.
3. Work with  operations team throughout the engagement, as the end goal is the O will have a full understanding of all system components at the end of the engagement.
4. Provide support in the project release phase of the online application.

Recommended modifications to the application will be documented but not implemented as part of this project unless necessary for basic functioning of the system in the new environment.
