COMSOL is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity to join our Global IT team onsite in Burlington, MA.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity with 15+ years to serve as a senior technical leader within our global IT organization. This highly visible role combines extensive technical expertise with operational leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Approximately 50% of the position is dedicated to enterprise infrastructure, networking, firewalls, cybersecurity governance, and strategic initiatives. The remaining 50% focuses on driving project execution, mentoring technical staff, managing priorities, and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives across the Help Desk, Systems Administration, Infrastructure, Networking, and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise in enterprise networking and partner with the Network Engineering team to design, implement, and support global switching, routing, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, VLANs, and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and governance.
  • Participate in risk assessments, security audits, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
  • AI policy and governance methodologies
  • Mentor engineers and administrators while promoting accountability and technical excellence.
  • Manage priorities, schedules, risks, documentation, and project reporting.
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex enterprise issues.
  • Lead enterprise infrastructure initiatives spanning servers, storage, virtualization, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, backup, disaster recovery, and endpoint management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of enterprise IT experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent project management, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience writing cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Extensive Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, networking, and security experience.
  • Experience with VMware or Nutanix.
  • DevOps or coding experience a plus.
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position. F-1 visa holders not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CISSP, PCNSE, CCNP/CCIE
  • VMware VCP, Microsoft certifications
  • PMP and/or ITIL.
  • Experience supporting multinational organizations.
  • Experience with automation technologies such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
