POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Ozarks Regional YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, staff, and guests by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and facility support duties across assigned areas.
This role contributes directly to the member experience by ensuring YMCA facilities meet cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards. Duties may include general cleaning, event setup, seasonal outdoor maintenance, and other related responsibilities as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment by completing assigned daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks.
• Perform general cleaning duties including wet and dust mopping, vacuuming, trash and recycling removal, window washing, painting, pool cleaning, and general facility upkeep.
• Complete seasonal tasks such as lawn care, snow removal, and grounds maintenance as assigned.
• Operate motorized and non-motorized cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and appropriately.
• Monitor facility conditions and record, report, or address maintenance and repair needs as directed.
• Ensure assigned areas of YMCA facilities and property are secure during scheduled shifts; promptly report incidents, safety concerns, or hazardous conditions to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other consumables as needed.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings, programs, and special events, including moving and arranging furniture and equipment.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and chemical handling guidelines.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Six months or more of related cleaning, custodial, or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to accurately report and document maintenance or supply needs.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
• Basic understanding of the care, maintenance, and safe operation of equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, effective use.

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may require travel between YMCA locations.
• The employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions while performing assigned duties.
