Job description

YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The EVS Utility will play an important role in performing cleaning duties, as directed by the Environmental Services Supervisor, throughout the property. The EVS Utility will be responsible for maintenance in offices, windows, carpet; restroom, general maintenance, and use of floor/carpet machines.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties) Including but not limited to:
  • Operate and maintain all types of cleaning equipment-*Must be machine certified
  • Heavy Cleaning such as floor buffing, exterior or floor polishing, window washing, furniture or floor polishing and carpet shampooing
  • Floor stripping, sealing, finishing and or polishing
  • Maintain of the all the marble and prepared cleaning solutions as necessary and followed safety procedures as prescribed by OSHA
  • Vacuums, sweeps, remove stains, gum, and debris while performing carpet maintenance
  • Clean all glass and mirrors in assigned areas
  • Clean all slot machine signage in assigned areas
  • Clean and polishes brass and overhead brass in assigned areas
  • Clean walls, ceilings, vents, lights, and fixtures in assigned areas
  • Porter pans, vacuums, and spot clean carpets
  • Vacuum and dusts furniture
  • Remove and empty trash from receptacles
  • Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, and counters
  • Sweeps and mops floors
  • Polish mirrors, stainless steel, and chrome
  • Clean walls, ceilings, lights, and vents, doors, and partitions
  • Fill paper and soap dispensers
  • Clean counters, tables, chairs, and railings
  • Clean slot machine bases

MUST HAVE'S
  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 2 months on the job training or through related experience Hands-on experience with a variety of reporting operations and procedures

  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying noise levels, the severity of which depends upon work volume
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction, work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and pet dander/hair.
  • Effectively and efficiently move from floor to floor as needed
  • Ability to scrub and scour different surfaces using the appropriate tools
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods. Proper protection is provided
