Job description

Hiring: 2 Retail Cleaners — Seattle Metro, WA (Commercial Cleaning + Window Washing — 5 Locations)

Auburn, Seattle, Bellevue, Lynnwood, and Tulalip, WA

URGENT — HIRING 2 PEOPLE ASAP (first job is Monday, July 13)

About the Role

North Co Commercial Cleaning is hiring TWO cleaners for a recurring retail route across the Seattle metro. This is a two-person job covering a commercial deep clean and a window wash on the same visit, at retail stores inside five malls/shopping locations. Each store's name and exact suite are released once you're hired, and onboarding is complete.

Just so it's clear up front: this isn't full-time or part-time work. It's occasional — a way to get your foot in the door with us and make a little extra money. Take one location or all five — the more you cover, the more you make. As we grow in the area, more work can follow for people who show up and communicate well.

This is a 2-person job — read this part

We're hiring two people for these visits, and both are expected to show. You'll be working alongside another cleaner we hire separately — ideally someone you're not related to or in a relationship with, so we've always got coverage if something comes up.

You're welcome to bring your own helper if you'd rather work with someone you know — but heads up: I'll still be hiring a second cleaner separately, so if you bring a helper, the two of you split the pay for one spot. We pay per person, per spot we fill.

Carpooling: If you and the other cleaner are in the same town, we'd prefer you ride together — whoever drives and picks the other person up gets a little extra for the trip.

The Locations and Schedule

Each job is paid separately, per visit. Start times may shift by up to an hour — confirmed before each visit.

1. Outlet Collection Seattle — 1101 Outlet Collection Way, Auburn, WA 98001

Pay: $75 per person, flat rate

Monday, July 13, 2026 — 9:00 AM start (firm — the store sends a manager to let us in, so it does not move)

Recurring about every 3 months

2. 517 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101 (downtown)

Pay: $85 per person, flat rate

Date pending — end of August / early September, 9:00 AM start

Recurring about every 6 months

3. Bellevue Square Mall — 2088 Bellevue Square, Bellevue, WA 98004

Pay: $75 per person, flat rate

Date pending — waiting for the go-ahead while construction wraps up; typically an 8:00 AM start

Recurring about every 6 months

4. Alderwood Mall — 3000 184th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98037

Pay: $75 per person, flat rate

1st or 2nd week of November (to be confirmed); typically an 8:00 AM start

Recurring about every 6 months

5. Seattle Premium Outlets — 10600 Quil Ceda Village, Tulalip, WA 98271

Pay: $75 per person, flat rate

Date pending — to be confirmed with the store; typically an 8:00 AM start

Recurring about every 6 months

Full route: $385 per person across all five visits.

Pay

Each visit is a flat rate per person and covers both the cleaning and window duties as a team.

With two people splitting the work, you're each on site an average of 2 to 3 hours — so it works out to about $25–$38 an hour ($28–$43 an hour on the downtown Seattle store).

Gas: We'll pitch in for gas if you're coming from a distance — that's worked out with you before the visit.

Everything runs through the app — check-in, before/after photos, check-out with the manager. Once the job is completed, checked out, and confirmed by the store, pay averages 24 to 48 hours. It takes longer if the steps aren't done right — and if anything has to be fixed or redone, nothing is paid until it's made right.

Parking: If you have to pay for parking, we'll reimburse it once you send a receipt showing the date, time, place, and amount. If the receipt is missing any of that or doesn't line up, we can't reimburse it.

The Work (general overview)

This is the general scope — a detailed checklist for each service is sent once you're hired and onboarding is done.

Commercial Cleaning: Sweep, dust mop, and vacuum all floors, including corners and edges. Mop hard floors. Remove gum and stickers. Dust shelving, fixtures, ledges, and vents. Wipe counters and display cases. Empty trash and replace liners. Clean and disinfect the restroom. Damp mop office, stockroom, and break room floors.

Window Washing: Clean entry door glass inside and out. Polish handles, sills, and doorplates. Remove spider webs, gum, debris, and tape. Squeegee and detail all glass edges and corners. Wipe ledges dry.

Requirements

- Prior cleaning experience (commercial or residential)

- Window washing experience with a scrubber and squeegee — required

- Reliable personal transportation

- Strong communication — checking in and responding is the #1 priority

- Comfortable completing a standard onboarding screening

Supplies

Bring your own supplies and earn a supply bonus on top of your flat rate — $10 per visit for the commercial cleaning supplies, $5 per visit for the window supplies. If both cleaners bring their own, the bonus gets split down the middle between you. Not required — North Co can provide everything, there's just no bonus in that case. Take a look at the list below and let us know what you've got: all of it, some of it, or none. Whatever you're missing, we'll cover.

Commercial cleaning:

- Vacuum

- Mop and bucket, or a flat mop with extra pads

- Broom and dust pan

- Dust mop (optional)

- All-purpose cleaner

- Disinfectant

- Glass cleaner

- Microfiber cloths

- Dusting tool

- Restroom cleaner

- Scrubber or deck brush for heavy build-up areas

Window cleaning:

- Professional window scrubber or applicator

- Squeegee

- Glass cleaning solution

- Microfiber or scrim cloths

- Scraper or razor for gum, tape, and debris

- Bucket

Step stool or short ladder — not required, but handy if you like getting closer to the top of the windows or dusting up high. An extension pole works fine too.

Dress Code

Slip-resistant shoes (we'll help you get a pair if needed). Plain, clean blue or black shirt until your branded shirt at 3 months. Jeans or non-athletic shorts — nothing ripped, no sweatpants. Hair tied back, arrive clean and presentable.

Photos and Check-Out

Detailed before-and-after photos are required, and you must check out with the manager before leaving. This tracks the job and covers everyone if a complaint comes up.

Communication

Staying in touch is the single most important part of this job — checking in, responding to messages, and keeping us updated. Answering and confirming is the #1 priority. If you're someone who stays on top of communication, you'll do great here.

To Apply

Reply here and answer a few quick screening questions. Hiring 2 people ASAP — the Auburn job is Monday.
