PW ProShop General Cleaner I
Primary Responsibilities: Clean public areas, restrooms, offices, pro-shop and restaurant according to company standards. Pick-up soiled linens from restaurant and restocks with supplies and clean linen. Perform general or specialized cleaning and other miscellaneous unskilled tasks. Do pro-shop and restaurant carpet cleaning and/or patch replacement. Do pro-shop and restaurant window cleaning on a monthly basis.
Essential Duties:
  1. Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, tiles, mirrors, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors with cleaning agents.
  2. Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures and shelves.
  3. Clean and polish all metal surfaces.
  4. Monitor flooring and carpets. Spot clean, vacuum, sweep and/or mop hallways, foyers, and corridors.
  5. Properly and safely use personal protective equipment.
  6. Properly and safely drive golf carts while performing duties on the golf course.
  7. Clean ashtrays and urns and empty all trash receptacles.
  8. Clean and maintain all equipment and tools used to ensure proper working order.
  9. Properly handle lost and found items.
  10. Report any unauthorized or suspicious person or hazardous conditions on property.
  11. Responsible for the control of company issued keys at all times.
  12. Perform duties following safety procedures and policies.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Other Duties:
  1. Assist the restaurant and pro-shop with removal of trash during tournaments, banquets and other large functions.
  2. Assist with the relocation of restaurant furniture during the shampoo process.
  3. Respond to guest inquiries. Provide guest assistance, direction and information as needed.

Working Conditions:
  1. Works indoors in the pro-shop and restaurant, corridors and landings with or without air-conditioning.
  2. Outdoors cleaning public areas.

Work Hours:
  1. Shifts vary during early AM to late evening PM.
  2. 7 day a week operation/days off will vary.

Equipment Use:
  1. Housekeeping golf cart to transport linen and supplies.
  2. Vacuum cleaner, buffer, carpet shampooer, power washer and other cleaning equipment.
  3. Safely operate a forklift.
  4. Cleaning tools which includes, mop, broom, window cleaner, etc.
  5. Cleaning solutions.

Mental and Physical Demands:
  1. Able to operate a fully supplied golf cart.
  2. Able to kneel, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level to clean.
  3. Able to lift and carry heavy furniture, rugs, cleaning equipment.
  4. Able to stand and walk during entire shift.

Communication Demands:
  1. Must be able to read assignment sheet and directions for proper use of cleaning solutions.
  2. Must be able to communicate to supervisor/management and Housekeeping Clerk.
  3. Must be able to verbally communicate to golf course guests.
  4. Must be able to communicate with a two way radio.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
  1. Must be able to satisfactorily communicate verbally to receive instructions and communicate with others.
  2. Must be able to understand and follow directions when handling cleaning solutions or chemicals.
