You typically measure the windows with tape or laser measurement devices to ensure accurate sizing, and then select or cut the treatment components to fit the window. During installation, you use power and hand tools to attach blinds, shutters, or other products. Your responsibilities sometimes involve making repairs or improvements to the wall to which you attach the products. You typically work indoors, but some products, such as shutters, require being outside.

What does a window treatment installer do?

A window treatment installer is responsible for professionally installing various types of window coverings, such as blinds, shades, drapes, and shutters, in residential and commercial spaces. They measure windows, mount hardware, and ensure that treatments are properly fitted and operate smoothly. Installers may also provide recommendations on the best window treatment options and handle minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Their goal is to enhance both the functionality and appearance of windows while ensuring customer satisfaction.
