The Opportunity

Nyhof is looking for an experienced Lead Window Installer to help run residential window installation projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who knows how to install windows the right way, lead a small crew, solve jobsite challenges, and maintain a clean, professional experience for homeowners.


You will be responsible for leading window replacement projects, guiding crew members, maintaining quality standards, and making sure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and with strong craftsmanship.

This role is a strong fit for an installer who takes pride in clean work, understands the details of residential window replacement, and wants the stability of a full-time role with a company that values quality over shortcuts.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead residential window replacement and installation projects on site.
  • Guide, train, and support crew members during daily installation work.
  • Install replacement windows, new construction windows, and related components.
  • Perform capping, flashing, insulation, and exterior finishing work.
  • Use proper weatherproofing methods to protect the home and ensure a quality installation.
  • Install basic interior trim, stop material, quarter round, and related finishing details as needed.
  • Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, windows, materials, and equipment for each job.
  • Review job details, identify site conditions, and solve installation challenges in the field.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, supervisors, and crew members.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and respectful residential jobsites.
  • Follow company safety standards for ladders, tools, equipment, materials, and customer property.
  • Help ensure each project meets Nyhof’s quality standards before leaving the jobsite.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction, window installation, or a closely related exterior remodeling trade.
  • Proven ability to lead a small crew or take ownership of field installation work.
  • Strong knowledge of residential window replacement methods.
  • Comfortable working in and around occupied homes while protecting customer property.
  • Ability to work safely with ladders, tools, materials, and jobsite equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in active field environments.
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to a full-time schedule.
  • Clear communication skills with homeowners, crew members, and internal team members.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, honesty, and commitment to doing the job right.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Prior safety training, OSHA exposure, fall protection training, lift training, or manufacturer training.
