What is a window manager?

A Window Manager is a software component that controls the placement and appearance of windows within a graphical user interface on a computer. It allows users to open, close, move, resize, and organize application windows on their desktop. Window managers are commonly used in Unix-like operating systems, especially Linux, and can be standalone or part of a desktop environment. They can be highly customizable, offering features such as keyboard shortcuts, virtual desktops, and different window layouts to improve productivity.

What are some common challenges faced by window managers in large office buildings, and how can they be addressed?

Window Managers in large office buildings often encounter challenges such as coordinating cleaning schedules around tenant activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and handling urgent repair requests due to weather damage or equipment failure.
