Job description

Allied Glass, Eastern Iowa’s source for professional glass services is growing! Our Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids office is looking for candidates who have mechanical aptitude, previous Construction experience and want to work for a reputable company.

Typical skills and tasks include:

  • Ability to measure rough openings.
  • Proficient with power and hand tools.
  • Ability to carrying glass (up to 80lb)
  • Load and unload glass panels as required by project needs
  • Fabricating aluminum window frames, cutting & installing glass materials.
  • Read and interpret plans.
  • Interface with customers and project managers.
  • Comply with company process, policies, and safety protocols always
  • Measure, cut and fabricate glass according to client specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy and precision in all fabrication process

What you’ll need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable insurability for regular business travel
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs.
  • Construction or home building experience preferred but we will train those with a genuine interest in learning a new trade
  • Ability to read blueprints and take measurements with a tape measure
  • Great attendance record
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone and with others, which includes co-workers and project management staff.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Have prior construction experience.

Work Location: Waterloo / Cedar Falls location (75 mile radius outside the area).

Working Schedule:  Monday- Friday - 7am - 3:30pm 

Job Type: Full-time - 40 hours per week 

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
