Window Treatment Installer (1099 Contractor)
Lewis Center, OH
Seeking an experienced and dependable Window Treatment Installer to join our growing team as an independent contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled installer, handyman, finish carpenter, or home improvement professional looking for flexible work and consistent project opportunities.
As a Window Treatment Installer, you will be responsible for professionally installing custom blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorized window coverings in residential and commercial properties. Our installers are an important part of the customer experience and represent the quality and professionalism that we are known for.
Responsibilities:

  • Install custom blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorized window treatments.
  • Review installation requirements prior to appointments
  • If needed, provide secondary verification of measurements to ensure accuracy
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and make adjustments as needed
  • Ensure all products are installed safely, securely, and according to manufacturer specifications
  • Educate customers on operation and care of their new window treatments
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment throughout all phase of installation
  • Serve as the face of the company, demonstrate professional communication with customers, property owners, and project stakeholders
  • Complete installation paperwork, photos, and project documentation as required

Qualifications

  • Experience installing window treatments, cabinetry, finish carpentry, doors/windows, or similar home improvement products (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Experience with ladders and working at various heights
  • Ability to read measurements accurately and perform precise installations
  • Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
  • Must provide job specific tools, reliable transportation, and all required insurance coverage
  • Experience with motorized shades or smart-home products is a plus
