Job description

The Specialty Cashier services the Table Games and Slot Departments, front line chip, coin and JPH windows along with preparing the daily currency, coin, check and marker deposits.

  • High school diploma or GED required.  

  • Minimum of one-year experience as a Casino Cashier working specialty banks or general cashiering background from another casino. 

  • Experience working with business machines and prior money handling experience is necessary. 

  • Computer skills required. 

  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills required.  Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. 

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance. 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.  

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. 

  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk areas. 

  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier. 

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. 

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. 

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. 

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.

GAMING PERMIT:  Non-Key

  • Operates assigned bank (marker, chip and satellite) according to procedure.  Verifies and counts down bank at the end of each shift and reconciles to the Cage accountability.

  • Assigns window banks to Casino Cashiers and assists in troubleshooting cashier variances or reconciliation. 

  • Ability to assist in training and development of cashiers in window bank or specialty bank functions. 

  • Handles window bank coverage when scheduling needs arise. 

  • Fosters team environment and takes a leadership role in departmental initiatives. 

  • Presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
