Job description

JNS Facility Maintenance is currently seeking a full-time Field Technician. For over 25 years, JNS has been operating in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas as a local family-owned and operated janitorial and facilities company. With extensive experience in the cleaning industry, JNS is a service provider that leads by example in professionalism, quality service, and commitment to the highest standards of excellence.
Our ideal Field Technician is a hard-working individual who is comfortable working at multiple sites and is willing to be flexible. It is essential for a candidate to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. As such, this position requires excellent time management skills and the ability to stay focused.
A field technician is responsible for completing routine, specialized, and emergency services at multiple client sites and during various hours, though most work will be completed in the afternoon or evenings. This is an hourly position that reports to the Field Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Travels to job sites to complete services
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks and emergency services such as(but not limited to):
    • Window cleaning
    • Flood restoration
  • Specialized floor care:
    • Stripping, scrubbing, buffing, and refinishing hard surface floors
    • Carpet cleaning and extracting
  • Secures work areas using appropriate safety procedures
  • Follows all company and safety rules and regulations
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the work site after a service has been completed
  • Inspects equipment and ensures all supplies and equipment are available and in good working order
  • Organizes supplies and vehicles at various locations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
