Invite a friend Back to job search Job Description We are seeking team players for the position of Housekeeping Houseperson at Beauport Hotel. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout the property to include all guest rooms, public space, and laundry facilities. This position will also be responsible for assisting customers with all tasks relating to the cleanliness and/or functionality of guest rooms and related equipment.

Experience: Must have at least one (1) or more years of experience in a similar role, with experience in floor care highly preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Overall floor maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces. Buffing, stripping, and waving hard floor surfaces.

This includes shampooing and extraction, bonneting, and spotting carpets. Moving furniture and window cleaning. The laundry area and storage closets are to be kept clean and always organized.

Keep an inventory of closets and supply areas stocked and always organized. Return all dishes, glassware, and ice buckets to the dish station. Notify the Housekeeping supervisor immediately of any maintenance-related issues.

Adhere to all Bloodborne Pathogen procedures and Safety precautions regarding handling hygienic and guests' personal items. Maintain cleanliness in public areas daily, including lobby, guest bathrooms, hallways, stairs, elevator, pool area, restaurant, etc. Public space cleaning checklist must be completed daily.

Adhere to security procedures for handling guest room and master keys. Clean and organize the housekeeping area at the end of each shift, respectfully setting up the next shift for success. Demonstrate team behavior and attitude of working together to accomplish tasks.

Practice and observe all safety procedures. Assist with any housekeeping tasks as needed. Experience and Skills JOB REQUIREMENTS Position requires physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift.

Ability to climb and carry ladders. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for at least 8 hours at a time.
