Job description

Carpenter - Window & Door Installation Location: Grimes, IAJob Details:
  • Current opening for a Carpenter looking to get involved in Window & Door Installation work to support residential/multifamily construction projects throughout Central Iowa.
  • In this role, you'll install windows and doors, perform finish carpentry, assist with framing and remodeling projects, and work alongside an experienced crew that values quality, teamwork, and professional growth. Whether you're an experienced installer or a carpenter looking to expand your skills, this position offers steady work, training opportunities, and a clear path for advancement.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Meet at our Grimes shop each morning and travel with your crew to project sites throughout Central Iowa.
  • Load tools, materials, and equipment needed for daily projects.
  • Install residential and multifamily windows and doors.
  • Perform finish carpentry including trim installation, door hanging, and hardware installation.
  • Measure and fit materials accurately using tape measures and hand tools.
  • Assist with framing, remodeling, and tenant improvement projects.
  • Build and repair decks, room additions, and structural components as needed.
  • Install cabinets and complete other finish carpentry tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.

What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications --
  • Previous carpentry, construction, remodeling, or installation experience.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle construction materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications --
  • Window or Door installation experience.
  • Finish carpentry experience - either trim work or hardware installation.
  • Framing or remodeling experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Valid driver's license.
