Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Windchill PLM Solution Architect to lead end-to-end implementation, architecture, and data migration activities for a major engineering and manufacturing transformation program. This role is onsite in Memphis, TN and requires strong leadership across technical, functional, and client-facing delivery.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of PTC Windchill PLM solutions
  • Define and configure PLM architecture including Part, Document, and Change Management
  • Implement and support Windchill modules such as MPMLink, PartLink, and ProjectLink
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Windchill PLM solutions
  • Lead end-to-end data migration from legacy systems into Windchill
  • Manage extraction, transformation, validation, and loading of engineering data (parts, CAD, drawings, product structures)
  • Ensure alignment between engineering and manufacturing BOM structures
  • Support integration with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP such as SAP)
  • Guide and coordinate offshore/onshore development and implementation teams
  • Provide project status updates, risk tracking, and delivery reporting to PMO and stakeholders
  • Drive best practices for engineering data management within discrete manufacturing environments


🏭 Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in Windchill PLM implementations
  • Strong expertise in PTC Windchill (PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink)
  • Deep understanding of engineering lifecycle management and change processes
  • Hands-on experience with engineering data migration (legacy → Windchill)
  • Strong knowledge of CAD data management (3D models, 2D drawings, product variants)
  • Experience in discrete manufacturing environments
  • Ability to map business requirements to PLM architecture and configuration
  • Strong stakeholder management and client communication skills
  • Experience leading distributed (onshore/offshore) delivery teams


🌐 Preferred Experience

  • Integration of Windchill with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Aerospace, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or heavy equipment background
