The SR Industry Specialist Role

This position is responsible for identifying specialized industry strategy, potential sales penetration, new industry/product potential and other segment activities providing profitable sales growth. This position coordinates all sales, industry specialist, field technical, engineering, pricing and inside sales activities related to the industries of the segment.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and coordinates operational efforts that promote profitable sales growth within specific industries; contacts customers directly in support of key projects and participates in industry associations.
  • Develops and implements support plans for related activities within industries including other departments within the business unit and corporate functions.
  • Supports database development and maintenance for specific industries.
  • Responsible for identifying pricing strategies for specific industries and provides direction for pricing and interchange requirements.
  • Identifies and implements the development of industry related promotional materials including catalogs, brochures, flyers, etc.
  • Responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of industry, market, competitor, and customer data and activity.
  • Has leadership responsibilities for Industry Support Specialists, as well as key projects and team activities.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of the forecast and business plan.

Education & Experience

  • This job requires a minimum of a Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in a related field and 8 to 10 years of position-related experience; preferably over 10 years of position-related experience.
