Job Overview:Job SummaryAs a Technician Wind Turbine Tech at Primoris Services Corporation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on wind turbine components including gearboxes, generators, hydraulic systems, and control systems.Conduct preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and effective manner.Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and fall protection.Operate specialized tools and equipment safely and proficiently.Assist with the commissioning and decommissioning of wind turbine units.Participate in training programs to stay current with evolving wind turbine technology and safety standards.Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site management regarding work status and potential issues.Work independently or as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines.Job QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in wind energy technology, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a wind turbine technician or in a related industrial maintenance role.Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.Proficiency with various hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Comfortable working at heights (up to 300+ feet) and in confined spaces.Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs).Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.Company Overview:Primoris Renewable Energy, a business within Primoris Services Corporationโ€™s Energy segment, is a leading power generation engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) provider specializing in utility and commercial scale solar power, energy storage, solar repower, and operations and maintenance.
