Job description

Job Overview:
Job Summary
As a Technician Wind Turbine Tech at Primoris Services Corporation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on wind turbine components including gearboxes, generators, hydraulic systems, and control systems.
* Conduct preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and effective manner.
* Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
* Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and fall protection.
* Operate specialized tools and equipment safely and proficiently.
* Assist with the commissioning and decommissioning of wind turbine units.
* Participate in training programs to stay current with evolving wind turbine technology and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site management regarding work status and potential issues.
* Work independently or as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in wind energy technology, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a wind turbine technician or in a related industrial maintenance role.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Proficiency with various hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Comfortable working at heights (up to 300+ feet) and in confined spaces.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs).
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
