Wind Ensemble Student Worker 2026 - 2027

Job Description:

1. Assist with administrative day-to-day duties in the School of Music Band Area, in the McCorkle Music Building.

2. Copy, scan, and prepare Wind Ensemble and University Band folders, parts, scores, and rehearsal/practice resources. Keep them organized and available to members via Canvas OR Google Drive.

3. Update the Ensemble Library when new music arrives: stamp, record in excel, etc.

4. Logistics manager: needs to lead the concert production and equipment moves, including planning, executing, and coordination with graduate assistant, conductor, and percussion.

5. Student Recital Hour: students will be trained on the equipment and operations in Fickling Recital Hall and will be responsible for running the weekly Student Recital Hour, including recording, lights, backstage work, etc.

6. Set-up AND tear-down for every rehearsal.

Must qualify for Federal Work-Study Program. Well organized; music background required; light typing, copying, and folding; light lifting. Strong people skills needed, willingness to work is a must. Looking for a self-starter.

Wind Ensemble student workers will be supervised by an instrumental graduate student. The student workers must take direction, and assist the graduate student in their duties.
