Oak Hill United School Corporation is looking for men and women who are interested in making a positive contribution to our students and schools. We are always looking to add to our ranks of quality individuals who are willing to serve as substitute teachers and aides in our school buildings. These are very important roles that have a significant impact on our students and their educational progress and success.

Steps:
  1. Complete an online application
  • If you are interested in other positions, you will have to complete a separate application for each one.
  • If you do not have internet access, you are welcome to complete the online application at our administration office (1474 N. 800 W. - 27, Converse, IN) between 8:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday when we have a computer available.
  1. After you have completed an online application, you will need to contact a principal from any one of our buildings to schedule an interview. If the principal recommends you as a substitute, you will need to apply for a substitute permit ($15) online through LVIS. You will also need to complete a Non-Certified Criminal Background Check (approx $30.85). Instructions and links for the background check can be found on Oak Hill's website under employment. Both of these items are required to serve as a substitute and the fees are the responsibility of the applicant. The license is good for three years and the background check is good for five years.

Contact Lynette Wilson in the administration building at 765.395.3341 to schedule an appointment to complete the approval of your substitute license, new hire paperwork, and set up your substitute accounts. During this time, you can communicate in which buildings/grade levels you would like to sub. Once all is in order, you will begin to receive notifications when substitute positions are posted. Requests for your services may come as early as a few weeks prior to the date you are needed or as late as the morning of the need.
