Job Summary
Hours Per Week: 3-18 (based on enrollment/need)
Under the direction of the Director of College and Career Readiness, serves as an instructor in the area of adult basic education: Reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Adjunct/part-time instructors are needed to teach face-to-face classes during the day. Some evening sections may also be needed in the near future.
Qualifications:
A combination of education and experience that aligns with the subject area of instruction. Experience teaching adult learners. Basic computer skills and online instruction skills preferred. Education less than an associate degree will not be considered.
Essential Duties:
To teach assigned day and/or evening classes; provide lessons using a variety of instructional strategies aligned with the NC Adult Education Content Standards; maintain and submit accurate attendance; submit required forms and documents in a timely manner; etc.
