Job description

Role: Willow Analyst

Location: Minneoplis, MN (Onsite)

Contract W2

Supervise Epic application design, development, maintenance activities of applications under direct purview
• Collaborate with end users to design Epic Beacon/Willow workflows by suggesting corrective adjustments or enhancements
• Determine staffing requirements, perform capacity planning for resources and supervise the work of direct reports to ensure that team is functioning effectively and efficiently
• Serve as a mentor, resource, and primary advisor for team members
• Lead all phases (e.g. design, build and testing) of small to medium size application projects including Epic software upgrades, adoption of new Epic functionality and/or significant enhancements to integrated workflows.
• Provide Epic product function expertise for the design, build, and testing for assigned module(s), including but not limited to optime.
• Collaborate with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.
• Participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs.
• Provide technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers.
• Develop, support and maintain all required system design and build documents and other system documentation.
• Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use.
• Provide support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on call coverage as required.
• Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality; acquire and utilize knowledge of operational workflows to be implemented.
• Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.
• Work with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materials.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to specifications prioritize, coordinate, and implement updates and requested changes to the system; review and test each new release; troubleshoot problems and questions from end users.
• Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control.
• Develop strong relationships with end user communities, customers and business partners.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation.
• Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate.

Required skills:
• 7+ years combined experience across HealthCare and/or IT domains with at least 5 of those years working with Epic configuration and
• Active / current Epic certification in at least one area; Beacon and/or Willow and more than 4 years Epic Experience or a minimum of 7 years direct clinical experience.
• Epic systems application knowledge to build, test, support and training for Optime workflow
• Direct client healthcare domain knowledge such as clinical documentation workflow, Surgical workflows, and patient flow.

Preferred skills:
• Ability to demonstrate and have a history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with device integration
• Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• 2 years resource management and/or team lead role
