Nogales, Arizona & Surrounding areas

When you join our team, you will be working for a company that is known for its high-quality patient care and whose objective is to provide superior service and care to our patients and an outstanding work environment for our employees. The Caregiver is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various supportive services as necessary to meet the patient's needs. The caregiver otherwise known as Attendant Care Worker is responsible for observing the patient for changes in condition, reporting these observations to supervisory staff, and documenting observations; and care performed.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Cleaning
    • Dusting, Cleaning bathrooms, Cleaning windows (if necessary to attain safe/sanitary living conditions), Cleaning oven and refrigerator (if necessary to prepare food safely), Cleaning kitchen, Washing dishes, Changing linens, Making beds, Routine maintenance of household appliances
  • Laundry
    • Washing, drying and folding laundry, Ironing of clothes (only if clothes cannot be worn otherwise)
  • Shopping for food, medicines (case-by-case basis), and household supplies
  • Nutritional Maintenance
    • Planning and preparing meals, Assisting with eating
  • Personal Care
    • Assisting with showering, bathing, toweling, dressing, and shampooing, Assisting with transfers to/from wheelchair or bed, Assisting with toileting, excluding bowel programs, Assisting with routine ambulation activities, Assisting with fingernail and skincare, Assisting with tasks necessary for the comfort and safety of movement-restricted patients, Assisting the patient with any special appliances and/or prosthetic devices, Train the patient, the patient's family members, and/or friends in personal care tasks
  • General Supervision
    • Providing medication reminders and assisting with self-medication, Monitoring the patient to prevent personal injury and/or property damage, Monitoring patient's condition and reporting changes promptly, Maintaining a structured schedule that meets the patient's needs, Coordinating with the patient and/or patient's family to medical appointments, Coordinating with the patient and/or patient's family to obtain other necessary services to meet the objectives of the patient's care plan, Providing companionship suited to patient's ability to participate in shared activities including conversations, games, reading, outdoor activities, etc.

Position Qualifications
  • Meets the training requirements by State and Federal laws.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and the impaired
  • Possess and maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured by Organization requirements
  • and is in good working order or otherwise has reliable transportation.
  • Within 45 days of hire, must complete the company provided Direct Care Worker Training Program.
  • Bilingual a plus
