Company Description
Oceans, Reefs & Aquariums (ORAยฎ) produces aquacultured saltwater fish, invertebrates, and live aquarium foods for the marine aquarium hobby. The ORA hatchery complex is located at Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Campus in Ft. Pierce, Florida. ORA is the largest marine ornamental hatchery in North America and we are constantly developing new techniques to bring the finest captive bred specimens to environmentally conscientious aquarists throughout the world. Aquacultured marine life is the only alternative to wild caught fish and invertebrates for aquariums.
Job Description
Primary job duties include repairs, maintenance and construction of aquaculture systems and facilities.
Qualifications
- Basic construction skills
- Experience with power and hand tools
- Knowledge of PVC plumbing, water pumps, and electrical a plus, but not necessary
- Hardworking, energetic, takes pride in their work
- Willing to learn, good communication skills, ability to work in a team, must be detail-oriented, and punctual
- Valid Florida drivers license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs
- Flexible schedule - Some weekend, early morning and late evening work required.
Additional Information
Full time position, Monday to Friday 8-5pm.
