These methods focus on rapport-building, behavioral analysis, and ethical persuasion to resolve cases involving theft, fraud, or misconduct. Many Wicklander-trained professionals work as investigators, auditors, or security specialists in various industries. Training and certification in Wicklander-Zulawski techniques can enhance credibility and effectiveness in these roles.

They also document findings, collaborate with store management, and may work alongside law enforcement when necessary. Regularly reviewing loss prevention data, identifying trends, and training staff on theft deterrence practices are also important aspects of the role. This position often involves both independent work and teamwork, ensuring thorough investigations while supporting a safe and secure retail environment.
