Salary: $29.34 Hourly Location : Wickenburg Police Department, AZ Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 202600085 Department: Police Department Division: Police Sworn Opening Date: 05/28/2026 Job Classification Summary The Town of Wickenburg Police Department is seeking dedicated and qualified candidates for the position of Police Recruit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team committed to public safety and community service. Salary: $27.94 per hour Schedule of Events: September 3, 2026 - Physical Testing (candidates that successfully pass physical testing will continue to the interview process) September 10, 2026 (tentative) - In-Person Oral Board Interviews PRIOR TO SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION, ALL APPLICANTS MUST:
  • Register on the as well as:
    • Schedule and complete the Law Enforcement test
    • Complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment
    • Complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ)
  • Create an account with the , complete a Personal History Form, and share it with the Wickenburg Police Department. Be sure to save your Personal History Form ID number.
  • Complete a Town of Wickenburg Application through the town's
  • Submit the following with your Town of Wickenburg Application:
    • Resume
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Proof of U.S. citizenship (e.g., birth certificate or passport)
    • Form DD 214 (military personnel only)
    • Provide your 7-digit AZPOST Personal History Form ID number
Please note, in order for your Town of Wickenburg Application to be considered, you must complete and successfully pass all required National Testing Network (NTN) components by date of application closing. If you do not complete your NTN testing by application closing date, your application will not be considered. Hiring Process:
  • STEP 1 | National Testing Network. All candidates will register on the , schedule, and complete the Law Enforcement test. Candidates must also complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment and Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ).
  • STEP 2 | AZPOST. Create an account with the , complete a Personal History Form, and share it with the Wickenburg Police Department.
  • STEP 3 | Town of Wickenburg Application. Complete a Town of Wickenburg application through the town's
  • STEP 4 | Physical Testing. Successful candidates will be invited to complete the Cooper's Physical Test (Non-Gender, Non-Age).
  • STEP 5 | Oral Board Interview. Qualified applicants will be invited to an Oral Board Interview.
  • STEP 6 | Background Interview & Investigation. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by a police department background investigator via email, mail, and/or telephone to be scheduled for a background interview.
  • STEP 7 | Polygraph. The most qualified applicants will be given a polygraph examination (lie detector test) administered by a trained, professional examiner.
  • STEP 8 | Psychological. Applicants will be evaluated by a licensed psychologist.
  • STEP 9 | Medical Examination. Applicants will undergo a complete medical examination administered by an AZPOST certified physician.
  • STEP 10 | Final Offer of Employment. Upon successful completion of the entire employment process, applicants may receive a final offer of employment.
