Job description

About White Hat Industrial

White Hat Industrial is building the industry's most trusted institutional portfolio restoration platform. We help institutional and multi-site commercial real estate organizations transform roof restoration from a one-time decision into a repeatable portfolio management strategy that reduces capital costs, improves asset performance, and eliminates unnecessary waste on a national scale.

Over the last 10+ years, we have delivered significant growth to our customers nationwide. We're not fixing a broken model, we're scaling a new and proven one, and this role is one of the leadership hires that gets us there.

The Opportunity

Your job is to turn the White Hat Industrial sales organization into a system: a documented, coachable, repeatable sales process that a growing team can execute with consistency, without losing the relationship-led selling that built this company's reputation with institutional and portfolio-based commercial real estate clients.

This is a builder's role. You'll inherit an existing sales process, real pipeline, and a company with significant room to run, but the sales organization, the coaching cadence, and the CRM discipline are yours to build.

What You'll Own
  • Sales Strategy & Execution — Lead the sales process (Prospecting through Program Development) and drive it toward our target revenue mix, focusing on our primary market first and supporting markets second.
  • Team Building — Recruit, hire, and onboard Business Development talent; build the coaching, forecast, and accountability rhythm the team runs on.
  • Process & Systems — Document entry/exit criteria for every stage of the sales process and build the CRM stage-gates, forecast cadence, and win/loss review that make it measurable.
  • Major Accounts — Hold executive-level relationships with our most important Enterprise and institutional portfolio accounts.
  • Go-to-Market Execution — Partner with marketing to lock revenue-mix targets, build territory and account plans, and align messaging to the buyer's journey.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership — Work closely with the President and operations, to ensure a clean handoff from new-logo acquisition through delivery and portfolio management.

What Success Looks Like in Year One
  • Two Business Development hires recruited, onboarded, and productive.
  • A documented, CRM-enforced sales process with clear stage-gates.
  • A running weekly forecast and win/loss review cadence.
  • Revenue-mix targets executed against the company's expansion-to-new-logo model.

What You Bring
  • 10–15+ years of sales experience, with meaningful time leading a sales organization, not just carrying your own number.
  • Commercial roofing, construction, or building-materials sales background strongly preferred; B2B/institutional sales required.
  • A track record of building sales process and CRM discipline, not just working inside someone else's.
  • Experience with real estate holding companies, institutional investors, and real estate private equity groups, institutional owners, or other portfolio-level buyers is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel nationally to develop and protect key accounts.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit a resume and a short note on the sales organization they'd want to build here to info@whitehatindustrial.com or apply directly through this posting. Applicants in Dayton, OH and Indianapolis, IN will be considered. This is a hybrid position.

White Hat Industrial is an equal opportunity employer.
