Job Summary: 
The Crew Leader will operate Medium-Duty Trucks and trailers, zero turn commercial mowers and landscaping equipment, dump trucks and large construction equipment including loaders and skid steers for special projects. The crew leader will be responsible for training and overseeing 2-4 additional crew members and performing landscaping maintenance, lawn care, pruning, mulching, cleanups, planting, snow removal, and salting for a scheduled route. Work will involve operating the truck and trailer to scheduled stops and mowing grass, weed abatement, pruning plants, and trees, cleanup of the grounds including blowing off parking lots, hardscapes, and sidewalk areas, and picking up all trash on the property. The truck driver position requires the ability to navigate traffic, be organized, log correct information, have alert driving senses, and safely navigate while towing a large trailer. The position requires a lot of walking, working under strenuous conditions, and operating various types of power equipment and large equipment to accomplish the required tasks. You will need to be able to bend over to pick up and move heavy items that weigh up to 50 pounds.

Work Shift: 5 days / 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Monday – Friday, plus 24/7 during any winter weather events. 
Job Responsibilities: 
  • You will be provided with a planned route of locations to service and will be responsible for completing your work within the given time with a crew of 2-4 people. 
  • You will be responsible for safely operating medium-duty trucks and landscaping trailers, commercial mowers, gas power equipment, loaders, snowplows, salters, and various types of equipment. You are required to inspect them daily to ensure safe operation.  
  • During winter weather events, you will operate snowplows, salters, skid loaders, wheel loaders, and other snow removal equipment. 
  • You will work outside and perform weekly landscaping services including mowing and trimming lawns, edging mulch beds and sidewalks, pulling weeds from mulched areas, spraying weeds in mulched areas and hard surfaces and cracks with Roundup, blowing lawn clippings and debris off parking lots, sidewalks and mulched areas, trimming bushes and hedges and performing spring cleanup and mulching and fall leaf removal. You will also hand-pick litter and debris from around buildings, landscaping grounds, and hard-to-reach areas. You could walk many miles in a day.  
  • You are required to wear a company-issued uniform and always use personal protective equipment (PPE) while you are working. 
  • You will review your scheduled routes, be proactive, and ask questions if the work is unclear. 
Job Requirements: 
  • Valid US Driver's License and clean driving record. 
  • Must be semi-fluent in English (Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish is preferred)  
  • Must have a current D.O.T. Medical Card (or must obtain before working at Acacia) 
  • At least 2 full years of commercial landscaping and snow services are required. 
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. 
  • Ability to pass employment and random drug tests 
  • Ability to follow GPS directions and read maps 
  • Use a smartphone to log in and out of the mobile work order applications to record work and upload photos 
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs. 
  • Always wear company-issued uniforms and PPE while working.  
  • Smoking is not permitted while working.
