Position Overview
As the Senior Cloud Architect (Network & SRE), you will serve as a senior technical lead bridging the gap between advanced cloud networking and site reliability engineering. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the network architecture that powers our global platform on GCP. This role is ideal for a US-based expert with a deep background in both networking and DevOps, focused on ensuring high availability, performance, and security across our distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with our SRE and platform teams to drive network optimization and reliability as a core component of our infrastructure strategy.
You Will: Key Responsibilities & Impact
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient GCP network architectures, including VPCs, Interconnects, Load Balancing, and DNS.
  • Lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for networking components using Terraform to ensure consistency and automation.
  • Partner with the SRE team to solve complex connectivity, latency, and performance issues across our global microservices architecture.
  • Implement and manage network security policies, including firewall rules, VPC Service Controls, and IAM roles.
  • Optimize cloud networking costs through traffic analysis and architectural efficiency improvements.
  • Drive reliability engineering principles within the network domain, including capacity planning, error budget management, and monitoring/alerting improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard services, ensuring they meet networking and reliability standards.
You Have: Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Network Engineering, or SRE/DevOps roles.
  • Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancing, Service Networking).
  • Strong background in DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • US-based residency.
  • Working knowledge of scripting (Python, Go, or Bash).
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, Linux/network troubleshooting, and modern observability practices.
  • Excellent ability to lead technical strategy and collaborate across teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

The salary range for this role will be between $150,000 to $160,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications.
