Job description

Dixon Marine Services, Inc is seeking a project manager with marine experience in heavy civil construction, hydraulic dredging, mechanical dredging environmental restoration. The Project manager will be accountable for all aspects of the project including, bid preparation, estimating , budgeting, billing invoice approval, negotiation of change orders with subcontractors and venders , scheduling of crews and material deliveries, weekly progress meetings with the owner, cost forecasting , reporting and project safety.

The ideal candidate would be someone who is innovative and can think outside of the box, is motivated and can motivate others , manage staff and crew and who works well with others .

Qualifications

Must be a team player

Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

5 + years of project management experience with dredging, heavy civil, structural and or marine construction

Proficient with hydrographic tools

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite and construction software, as well as AutoCad

Excellent written and verbal communications

Scheduling experience and cost control

Estimating experiences Including quantity takeoffs and and the ability to determine the correct means and methods for a scope of work being implemented

Clear ability to organize and prioritize workload and a strong attention to detail
