Job description

Title: Technical Support Scientist IV
Location: Des Plaines, Illinois
Duration: 12 Months
100% Onsite
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related discipline) Masters, Organic Chemistry (+2 Years of experience) or PHD Organic Chemistry (Fresh PhD)

Skills:
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations is desirable
  • Experience with oligonucleotide chemistry, small-molecule chemistry, or related wet lab techniques is a plus

Duties:
  • Provide technical support for diagnostic products
  • Develop and design experiments; perform testing on Analytical Chemistry instruments; analyze data and summarize results
  • Perform basic laboratory activities, including hands-on wet lab work supporting product testing and development, which may involve oligonucleotide- or small-molecule-based assays
  • This position is part of the Technical Product Support team and will be primarily responsible for supporting oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, and validation activities.
  • The candidate will learn and apply the Quality System, document change control processes, and technical impact assessments, and will work cross-functionally with scientists and engineers to investigate and resolve technical documentation and product-related issues.
  • A general understanding of organic chemistry principles and prior experience working in a wet lab environment-such as handling oligonucleotides, small molecules, or related chemical reagents-is highly desirable.
