NOTICE OF OPENING: AFSCME LOCAL 1305
POSITION: Server/Cashier
LOCATION: Westview Elementary School
WORK YEAR: 2026/27 school year
RATE OF PAY: Per Local 1305 Collective Bargaining Agreement
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Possess good habits, character and attendance records
  • Be neat and clean in appearance
  • Ability to work alone and within a group to complete tasks
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions
  • Ability to read instructions and follow verbal and written directions
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
  • Ability to cooperate and work collaboratively with team members at all levels and positions
  • Ability to communicate positively with every student
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop and squat as part of daily job duties
  • Ability to work outside and in inclement weather conditions

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • A working line position involving cashier duties, computer knowledge, preparation, cooking, and clean-up of school lunch and a 'la carte items
  • Assist Head Cook in food preparation, cooking, clean-up, counter work, rotation and putting away of stock.
  • Complete the Serv Safe' food sanitation class and/or Food Service Managers Certification class
  • Adhere to all Health Department/HACCP rules and regulations
  • Fill in at other schools within the district as needed
