Job Description
What You'll Do as a Houseperson:
As a Houseperson at Westgate Resorts you plays a critical role in supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in guest and public areas, managing linen and trash logistics, and ensuring that housekeeping closets and supplies are well-organized. This position assists housekeepers with room preparation, handles the delivery and removal of items such as cribs and highchairs, and contributes to the overall guest experience by keeping the property clean, safe, and welcoming. You will demonstrate Westgate's core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.
  • Assist housekeepers with stripping units of soiled linen and trash.
  • Support cleaning of guest units, including pet cleans and deep cleans.
  • Clean walkways, stairways, corridors, elevators, guest laundry rooms, and front entrances.
  • Deliver linen bags/buckets to checkout unit doors and pick up soiled linens for processing.
  • Rotate laundry bins and maintain the cleanliness of laundry chute closets.
  • Remove and place cribs, highchairs, and other equipment in designated pickup areas.
  • Collect and dispose of trash from guest units, public areas, and outdoor enclosures.
  • Maintain housekeeping, storage, and linen closets neat, clean, and stocked.
  • Deliver and organize linens in building closets.
  • Ensure empty buckets and supplies are placed in designated areas.
  • Use all equipment and supplies properly and safely.
  • Secure and return all issued keys and maintain orderly carts and equipment.
  • Report damaged items, lost & found, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Respond to guest and owner requests professionally and promptly.
  • Assist with training new team members and support other departments as needed.
  • Represent Westgate Resorts with professionalism and promote company values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.
  • The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
