Technical Product Specialist - Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Overview
The Technical Product Specialist plays a critical role at Western Architectural Openings (Part of MITER Brands) by providing expert technical guidance to both internal teams and external customers. This role delivers remote and onsite troubleshooting, develops solutions for complex product challenges, and enhances the overall customer experience.
In addition, this position contributes to the development of best practices, installation standards, product documentation, and training programs; ensuring our partners and teams are equipped to successfully install, maintain, and service our products. A strong emphasis will be placed on supporting Western's custom architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training programs to customers, service teams, and sales representatives on product installation, service, and technical knowledge
  • Provide remote and occasional onsite troubleshooting support, resolving complex product issues and implementing solutions
  • Serve as a technical resource for internal and external partners, including dealers, distributors, builders, contractors, installers, field service teams, and Territory Sales Representatives
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical and marketing materials (installation instructions, product manuals, data sheets, brochures, and sell sheets)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, service, engineering, and sales to drive product improvements and elevate customer experience
  • Support high-value opportunities by providing technical expertise and consultation
  • Demonstrate MITER Brands' Guiding Principles in all interactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Experience in the building materials or residential window and door industry required
  • Experience with installation and service of Moving Glass Wall Systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts
  • Experience with AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and technical detailing preferred

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in window and door sales, service, manufacturing, or related field

  • Travel required; occasional overnight travel may be necessary
