We are seeking a full-time, motivated, effective and experienced field technician to join and grow with our team. Your work will be rewarding as you interact with our field support team and provide positive solutions for our customers.

THRESHOLD REQUIREMENTS

Must have mechanical and electrical experience. Seeking technicians with experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of Vehicle Service Equipment.ย  Vendor training and certifications required. (Rotary, Challenger, Graco, Samson, Balcrank, Benwil, Mohawk).

-Clean driving record, outstanding communication and customer service skills

-A can-do, will-do, positive attitude with good follow-through skills

-Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic repair

-Hands on Mechanical and Electrical aptitude

-Working knowledge of hand and power tools

-Succeeds in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

-Willing to learn and work well under pressure

-Capable of successfully completing all work in a safe, efficient and effective manner

-Strong, effective verbal and written communication skills are essential

-Familiarity with mobile technology for receiving work orders and transmitting documents.

SUMMARY

Performs inspections, repairs, installations and maintenance on automotive lifts, lubrication equipment, and air compressors.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with customers and fellow team members.

Responds to customer requests for service under the direction of the Call Center and Sales.ย  Reads and understands service orders received via Jonas e-mobile system.ย  Calls customer of clarification if required, takes appropriate parts, equipment, and materials to job site to effect repair on first call whenever possible.

Records and documents, while on the job site, all part numbers, equipment, materials used, and a description of work performed as well as hours expended to effect repair; obtains signature from owner or owner's representative prior to leaving site.

Advises and discusses with owner, upon arrival, of all work to be performed and safety issues.

Conducts diagnostics and necessary repairs on equipment listed in above job summary, and returns the equipment to its original working condition.

Follows Safety Rules per company policy, Safety Manual, and OSHA standards so as to ensure an injury-free workplace.

Maintains vehicle, equipment, and tools in good working order, inclusive of oil changes and other fluids per manufacturer's warranty and service policies.

Other duties as requested by supervisor or call center.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma required. Associates degree (A.A.) from 2 year college or university is desirable; 1 year or more of applicable field experience may be used in lieu of degree.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, general technical and business documents, manuals, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, installation/service and operation manuals, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, supervisors, managers, Help Desks, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Maintains up to date manufacturer's and State of California certifications for company designated equipment. Must maintain a valid California State Drivers License.
