Wellness Cashier

Good Earth Markets is a lively, health-minded workplace where great people, healthy living, and good energy make every day fun!

Job Purpose

  • The Wellness Cashierat GOOD EARTH MARKETS is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their health and wellness needs. This role involves greeting customers, assessing their needs, and guiding them to the appropriate products, while also ensuring efficient and friendly cashiering services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and acknowledge each customer as they enter the store.

  • Assess customer'sneeds and educate on how recommended products work and why they are recommended.

  • Stay up to date on current health and wellness industry standards and topics.

  • Ring up customers with friendliness and efficiency.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all front-end areas.

  • Promote Good Earth Loyalty program at each transaction.

  • Work freight, checking in and stocking product as deliveries arrive.

  • Clean and face product on shelf and displays.

  • Keep inventory stocked and available for customers, working out backstock and organizing shelves.

  • Perform light janitorial tasks other duties throughout the store as assigned or needed.

  • We are an E-Verify employer.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience/Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment

  • Experience in cash handling and cashier responsibilities

  • Knowledge of current health and wellness industry standards and topics.

  • Ability to assist customers with supplements and health-related inquiries.

  • Proficiency in basic math skills for providing change and some inventory management.

  • Ability to exhibit compassion and understanding when working with customers who share their physical and emotional concerns.

  • Competent in cashiering with a focus on friendliness and efficiency.

  • Positive, energetic, self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.

  • Willingness to perform janitorial tasks and otherduties throughout the store as assigned.

  • Great attitude with a willingness to learn and accept feedback.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
