Job description

We are seeking a motivated Pump Service Technician & Well Drilling Assistant to support our field operations. This is a hands-on role where you will assist in the installation and repair of water systems and support our drilling crews on various job sites. Whether we are drilling through granite or servicing a residential pressure tank, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers have reliable access to clean water.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pump & Tank Service: Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of submersible pumps, jet pumps, and pressure tanks.
  • Drilling Support: Support the lead driller with rig setup, handling drill pipe, casing installation, and site preparation.
  • Plumbing Work: Assist with various plumbing tasks related to water system hookups and well rehabilitation.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe job site; load/unload materials and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Customer Service: Represent the Jennings family name by providing professional and polite service to our clients on-site.

Qualifications

  • License: Must have a valid Drivers License. a CDL license would be beneficial but not required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in well drilling or pump service is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic.
  • Skills: Basic plumbing knowledge is a significant plus. Familiarity with hand tools and heavy machinery is beneficial.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform heavy lifting, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in all Minnesota weather conditions.
  • Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Must be reliable with a strong history of attendance.
