Welders in Japan typically earn between 2.5 to 4 million yen annually, depending on experience, certifications, and the industry. Skilled welders with certifications such as ASME or AWS can command higher wages, especially in industrial or construction settings. Overtime and specialized skills can also increase overall earnings.

Can a US citizen get a job in Japan?

A US citizen can work as a welder in Japan if they obtain the appropriate work visa, which typically requires sponsorship from an employer, relevant certifications, and language proficiency. Japan's immigration policies are strict, and securing a job often involves demonstrating specialized skills and experience in welding or related trades.
