Job description

TIG Welder (Specialist - Aluminum / Fabrication)

Company: Burgaflex North America

Location: Holly, MI

Schedule: Full-Time (Includes Saturdays)

About the Role

Burgaflex North America is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team at our Holly facility. This role focuses heavily on high-precision TIG welding and fabrication on aluminum and specialized alloys. If you take pride in clean, structural, and visually precise welds, this is the role for you.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven TIG Welding Expertise: Hands-on experience with fine TIG welding (specifically with aluminum and high-precision metals).
  • Technical Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and execute technical drawings, schematics, and weld symbols accurately.
  • Apprenticeship: Successful completion of a relevant welding apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience.
  • Prep & Setup: Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, squares) and metal prep machinery (angle grinders, saws).
  • Safety First: Full understanding of shop safety standards and dedicated use of required PPE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute precise manual and semi-automatic TIG welds on aluminum and specialized metal components.
  • Set up, fit, clamp, and prepare materials according to precise blueprint specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds for penetration, aesthetic quality, and structural integrity.
  • Repair machinery, fill gaps, and maintain welding equipment to safety standards.
