GENERAL SUMMARY:

PROFICIENT IN GMAW, FCAW, AND GTAW PROCESS IN THE FLAT AND HORIZONTAL POSITIONS.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1) PERFORM GMAW, FCAW, AND GTAW FILLET PRESSURE PART WELDING.

2) PERFORM FILLET, AND PARTIAL PENETRATION GROOVE WELDS ON VARIOUS PRODUCT FORMS USING THE GMAW, GTAW, AND/OR FCAW PROCESS IN THE FLAT AND HORIZONTAL POSITIONS.

3) OPERATE OVERHEAD CRANES AND OTHER POWERED MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT.

4) OPERATION OF POWERED HAND TOOLS AND OTHER HAND TOOLS.

5) PERFORM MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING TASKS.

6) PERFORM ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS. (STENCILING OF PARTS, FILING ETC.)

7) PERFORM GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND HOUSEKEEPING TASKS.

8) REGULAR, PROMPT ATTENDANCE ON SCHEDULED WORKDAYS.

9) WORK OVERTIME AS SPECIFIED BY MANAGEMENT.

10) COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY.

11) PERFORM BASIC MEASUREMENTS OF MATERIALS.

12) TO PERFORM ANY REASONABLE TASK OR ASSIGNMENT AS SPECIFIED BY MANAGEMENT.

13) TO PERFORM ALL TASKS AND ASSIGNMENTS IN A SAFE MANNER.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1) ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE TO START, OPERATE, TROUBLE SHOOT, AND STOP INDUSTRIAL WELDING EQUIPMENT.

2) CAPABLE OF READING AND UNDERSTANDING BASIC BLUE PRINTS.

3) ABILITY TO LIFT 50 LBS.

4) ABILITY TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME-MINIMUM OF 4 HOURS.

5) WILLING AND CAPABLE OF WORKING VARIED SHIFTS/OVERTIME ACCORDING TO PRODUCTION DEMANDS.

6) ABILITY TO PERFORM BASIC MATH CALCULATIONS.

7) KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO OPERATE POWERED HAND TOOLS AND OTHER HAND TOOLS.

8) CAPABLE OF WEARING ANSI APPROVED SAFETY SHOES, SAFETY GLASSES, AND OTHER APPROVED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT.

9) KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO PERFORM TASKS IN A SAFE MANNER.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1) WELDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
