Job description

We are looking for a WELDER to join our Mitchell, IN plant.  As a Welder with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
  • Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
  • Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist ,chains, etc.
  • Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
  • Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About You

We Require:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, and Stick welding.
  • Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work with precision instruments.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
