Location: Traveling (80-90%)

Job Summary:

We currently looking to grow our field service team. This position requires 80% to 90% travel. Most of the travel is located on the eastern coast of United States, but service can be required in all 50 states. Our work involves frequently working in facilities that contain LP Gas such as bulk storage plants, pipeline and rail terminals, and refineries.

This position is not just a welding position but includes the opportunity to be a valued team member. With the a positive attitude, you will be able to learn and grow your craft. You will report directly to the Field Service Crew Leader for daily tasks

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform x-ray quality welds as needed.

· Perform welding operations in all positions as needed.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment

· Follow all safe working practices.

· Participates on completion of installations

· Participates on the job preparation process in accordance with the Scope of Work and/or customer specifications

· Submits accurate and timely paperwork and job reports and captures any lessons learned

· Liaises with the client on location and assists in troubleshooting

· Ensures installation procedures are followed without compromising safety or quality

· Select and safely use appropriate equipment suitable for work being performed.

· Assist in the planning of piping layout according to specifications.

· Measure and mark pipes for cutting and welding.

· Assist in the Assembly and securing of pipes according to specifications.

· Identify, recognize, and demonstrate safe usage of power tools appropriate for the job.

· Maintain good housekeeping in work area.

· Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and properly stored or kept.

· Communicate with leadership all aspects and phases (safety, productivity and quality) of work.

· Assist in checking completed work prior to final welding to ensure conformity to specifications.

· Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by supervision.

Competencies:

· Ability to read an assembly drawing and mechanical drawings

· Must be timely and reliable and understanding that if there is no welding to do you will be assigned to do other things.

· Ability to perform repetitive movements

· Ability to work overhead

· Ability to work up to 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.

· Ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.

· Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.

· Ability to work over 5 feet above the ground; must not have a fear of heights.

Education:

· Must pass an observed 6G Welding Certification (2014-6 procedure) test consisting of a 2-inch XXH carbon steel (.625 wall) coupon, 1/8” 6010 root, 7018 hot pass/filler, 7018 cover/cap. Bend test + x-ray.

Travel:

· Travel is required as 80-90% of position. Most travel is on the east coast but we perform work in all 50 states.
