Job description

Jamco Products Inc., a Myers Industries Company (NYSE: MYE), is the industry's largest manufacturer of industrial grade fully welded carts, trucks, tables, cabinets, platforms, workbenches, and more in steel & stainless steel. With over 500 models in 3,000 sizes, Jamco is sure to have something to fit the industrial transport or storage needs of each client. Jamco Products is located in South Beloit, Illinois and has distribution warehouses in IL, FL, & TX.
Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday
Wage: $22.50/hour
A Jamco Products Welder performs all 3 welding processes (MIG, TIG and STICK) for the fabrication and assembly of metal carts, cabinets or stainless tables and carts. The responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Determine the appropriate welding process, equipment or method based on product requirements.

  • Set up components for welding according to job specifications

  • Follow all safe manufacturing, material handling and PPE procedures

  • Follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs

  • Operate overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and basic hand and air tools

  • Perform all duties in conjunction with Jamco procedures

  • Quality Check of all finished processes / work

  • Keep work area clean and clutter free

  • Perform other duties that may be assigned

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE
  • GED, High school Diploma, or equivalent welding experience

  • 1-year MIG, TIG, STICK welding experience required.

  • Welding Certificate or Tech college preferred
