Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Welding
Job Description:

Meet with class at regularly scheduled times. Teach lecture and labs (if applicable). Provide Chair person with requested materials for example rubrics, attendance, grades etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge on various aspects of welding.
  • Verbal speaking, organizational, and perception of student understanding are all skills required for this position.
  • The following abilities are required for this position: work independently, convey required subject material, quickly return graded materials, ascend or descend to proper level of instruction for each section of students, and compose proper syllabi based on given syllabi shell for each section.

Essential Functions:

  • Teach required subject material during scheduled time.
  • Grade homework, tests, and labs
  • Compose Syllabus by end of first week using college template.
  • Report attendance for financial aid purposes and report final grades before expected deadlines.
  • Maintain orderly and clean classrooms and labs.
  • Complete rubrics for course evaluation by expected Deadlines.

Other Characteristics:

  • Professional, positive attitude, willing to investigate answers to questions, respond quickly, proactive, and efficient.

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school
  • Journeyman's Card in discipline being taught or, Eight Years of work experience in discipline being taught or, Bachelor Degree & 2 years of work experience in discipline being taught or, Associates Degree & 4 years of work experience in discipline being taught.
