Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Producing weldments to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures manually and repetitively, removing completed assemblies with lift devices.
  • Reading prints to determine specifications, such as parts and fixtures to be used, placement of parts, dimensions and tolerances, proper labeling of parts, etc., and accurately completing all required functions to ensure quality products.
  • Understanding and application of robotic welding including but not limited to basic programming, clearing faults, troubleshooting faults, basic computer programming for robotic weld cells, ability to train new employees on robot.
  • Troubleshoot errors with the assistance of maintenance or programmers.
  • Contribute ideas and assist in implementing continuous improvement of processes in the weld cells.
  • Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis. Maintain good attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent courses in welding operations (manual and/or robotic) with a Level II Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment with manual or robotic weld operation and set-up
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    • N/A

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Basic to intermediate math skills to analyze information and measuring equipment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to train others
