Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $38.74-$56.14


As a Welder at Quinn, you will play a big part in holding the world together! Duties for this position will include welding various types of metal (steel, aluminum, cast iron, etc.) and various welding processes (ARC and MIG) per instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including horizontal saws, overhead cranes, forklifts and other related equipment & tooling.

 Requirements:

  • Regularly inspections on customers’ equipment for weld/salvages possibilities by visual inspection, and using testing, diagnostic and measuring equipment to determine problems or malfunctions.
  • Weld/salvage parts on frames, engines, hydraulic systems, attachments and related power train systems, and custom fabrication as needed.
  • Write detailed and accurate service reports stating the nature of the job and details pertaining the work that has been completed.
  • Review data from the troubleshooting and inspection process to work up detailed and accurate parts orders.
  • Measures assembled and disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders and pressure vessels.
  • Compare disassembled components against the original manufacturer's specifications.
  • Recommend proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.
  • Completes work in the shop.
  • Clean and service all welding machines and is required to keep a clean workplace.
  • Work with a positive attitude, spirit of cooperation and mentor co-workers.

One-year certificate or A.S. degree from a community college or technical school; Ten plus years industry experience or equivalent education and experience.
