Job description

We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels' medical waste treatment facility in Easton, PA. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

What will your job involve?
  • Lifting 55lbs and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
  • Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
  • Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
  • Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
  • Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
  • Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
  • Working well with a team! 
What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
  • Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
  • Willingness to take a 7 year background check
  • Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
  • Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
  • Proven longevity with employers
  • Can-do attitude!!
