Job Description:
Seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens position, with potential for a long-term opportunity. This role will involve both inpatient and outpatient coverage, working collaboratively with a highly experienced team of cardiothoracic surgeons, surgical PAs, and advanced practice providers (APRNs) in a high-volume surgical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Surgical Duties:
- Perform cardiac, aortic, and lung surgeries (excluding esophageal surgery)
- Work alongside a team of two tenured cardiothoracic surgeons and one recent graduate
- Contribute to a high-volume practice performing approximately 1,500 cases annually
Inpatient & Outpatient Coverage:
- Monday-Friday: 7 AM 5 PM
- Rotating Weekends: Based on census
- Call Coverage:
- Every 4th weekend
- Rotating weeknight call (onsite)
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
